Plea from an Indigenous indian in the wilds of Borneo

Global Warming threatens poorer people
Britain and America must view
and realise the refugees created
by selfish acts on there part will not do
Polluters ought to pay, it is a principle
borne out of good sense and integrity
The trouble is they tend to turn their noses up
and close their eyes and hearts now tragically

We stand amidst our ever smaller forests
Around us the orangutans who cry
the parrots and the other ancient species
many who have given up to die
The loggers oh! they're cowards who come
destroying
what little wood is left, to drag away
the spirit of the forest for your window cills
To America and Britain I now say

Global Warming threatens everybody
Flooding, mudslides they will come for you
We stand on the front line where destruction
is obvious might we ask what you're prepared to do
Please stop those rich dark corporation people
from buying up our wood to make their doors
we need you now to excercise some self control
and stop your very costly dreadful wars
