Nadine and Tahlia and the magic orchard

A red coronet with rubies
That sparkled just like fire
Worn by Princess Nadine
Who lives in Hertfordshire

She has this gorgeous garden
With loads and loads of trees
Mulberry, Loganberry, and even
Fairy Peas

Of course great crunchy apples
And oranges so sweet
Date palms, a green coconut
So very hard to beat

With water cool and satisfying
Magic I’ve heard tell
And the fairies do look after
The garden very well

They water it with purest dew
And wrap cool leaves around
The branches of the tallest trees
That grow out of the ground

They harvest sunbeams
Solar power, that helps the blossoms set
Attracting many busy bees
And are clearly in their debt

For they do bring myriad pollen grains
From many distant parts
And the trees grow tall
Above the wall
And into peoples hearts

In Pricesss Nadines Garden
The Fairy Princes try
To compost and to water
And to nurture which is why

The garden and the orchard
Are beautiful to see
And the fruits are in abundance
As sweet as sweet can be

Tahlia a princess too
A sister of Nadine
Sprinkled magic moonbeams
And a big tomato green

Erupted, it was awesome
It grew and grew and grew
Turning orange then bright red
For that’s what, Tomato’s do

Wally the green woodpecker
And Ravi the red kite
Often came a calling
Almost every night

And Fred the Fox
And Harry the hedgehog
Often ate
The berries if they fell down
And that was where we met

Bobby he was black and white
And very very strong
A Badger with his wife
Matilda who was never wrong

And flocks of Bats would flap about
And pick off insects that
Tried to eat the lovely fruit
Now what do you think of that?

In the, princesses garden
Everything was fine
The sun came out
It some times rained
But I was in no doubt

The garden it was magical
Attracting Fairy folk
Who worked to make it beautiful
They performed that masterstroke

The garden is just paradise
Flowers and fruits and trees
Lots of lovely butterflies
And swarms of friendly bees

Animals and insects
Birds and fairies too
Share the lovely vista
And now friends so can you
