Wild Deer

Wild Deers live in forests and are herbivores
Wild grasses are a tasty food, but they
prefer to partake of the young and tender shoots
Leaves and Buds and twigs along the way
On Honeysuckle where the bees sucks
so the Deer sucks too
Blackberry leaves and fruit just turn them on
Nuts they like but don't so often find them
Acorns, Beech and Hickory
but when
They get a chance to raid a local garden
in Deer parlance they score 10 out of 10

Mushrooms the odd Dandelion and Sedges also do
provide them with some added minerals
and theres a clue
they'll get up on their hindlegs and pullaway
the leaves
nutrition is a key part of what the wild deer retrieves

So when we drive in Ashridge take your foot off
20 miles per hour Please don't do more
Some cars doing 50 even 60
what chance has a wild deer, I emplore
Everyone to think about the wild life
It shares the road through forests every day
think and care and love the wild wild creatures there, really that is all I have to say
