a goddess someone said And now she lives in Hertfordshire In a town called Berkhamsted She looks after furry creatures With whiskers and cute eyes There's Molly she's a Hamster She's incredibly wise! Then there's Snoopy He's a Guinea Pig And of course there's Sooty too He's sort of black with a furry back whose favourite colours blue Now, how, do I know this Well when in Ecuador I met the king of Guinea Pigs and therefore I am sure What he told me was the truth Above all else, I heard That many many years ago That they flew like a bird And then so loved by children Decided they would be Closer to their charges Like Snoopy and Sooty Pheobe has a greek name a goddess so I hear Freckles, she has freckles and in sunlight they appear And Hamsters do love children with freckles for they know That they are safe and will be loved whenever cold winds blow. When Jack Frost comes a calling When snow drops curl and fall When the rain comes down in buckets And the trees however tall Bend under the force Of all that wind and energy Tis then the furry creatures Value being with Phoebe (A little story about a young girl who visited us yesterday) |
