Tomorrow's too late

Tomorrows too late
For the Orangutan
Her big eyes look into
Our hearts what we've done
Is torn down her habitat
For ghastly chairs
The barby, the decking
And nobody cares

Now she is lost
In a great sea of sin
Mangroves torn up
Letting great oceans in
The trees are cut down
The soil blows away
And the Great Apes they cry
At the end of each day

We see them in zoo's
In an unnatural state
We view them on film
They were seemingly great
But tomorrow's too late
Too late for us all
Our backs are now pressed
Right up to the wall

We cannot escape
there is no where to go
Lets hold hands, Great Ape
Let us sit toe to toe
And wait for the fire
It will come
Trust me, I
Turn to the Scientists
and ask them why?
