Organic Bananas make sense
Rex Tyler, 17.10.2002 · Printable version

In Costa Rica run- off from Bananas
Is wiping out the coral in the sea
Imagine what its doing to the Growers
Who plant and pick and do it constantly
They work the forests every day
Their children, very often playing at their side
And when the crop planes come to spray the jungle
They spray the workers too
No place to hide!

Fumigants are toxic so Organic, Growers
Must rest better in their bed
So many of the non organic people
Are either sick and some alas are dead
So do not say to me they are expensive
When Growers risk their lives to bring them here
Gassed out of existence in this country
And lacking natural flavour do you hear?
Put your hand much deeper in your pocket
Give up something else and and give support
Those that grow organically have forsight
So at the very least give them some thought
