Princess Diana

On an island in a lake
Of serene beauty
In the grounds of Althorpe House
Her place of birth
This to be her resting place
forever
She will lie in peace
Within the earth

This woman touched the
Lives of everybody
The flowers now represent
The peoples tears
So many will be falling
In the morning, for Diana
Who lived 36 short years

6 million are converging
On Westminster
The funeral is,tomorrow
We shall see
Her coffin draped
And ready, and the multitudes
Are camped and on the pavement
all are silently

Now prepared to give
their final messages
To tell the dear princess
Their love was deep
On an island in a lake
Of serene beauty
The beautiful Princess
Prepares to sleep
