Do you know the Rabbit "Lara"

Lady, so that your make up is
sort of safe,I sigh
My eyes, get the treatment
They squirt it in each eye
With no tear ducts to speak of
Just agony and pain
The Draize Test someone should
arrest those bastards, their refrain
is a terrible indictment
its a pitiful lament
Satan himself thought of it
and we are all but spent
blinded, by these chemicals
and you Miss! your mascara
contains my blood, my pain
my grief, for I'm the rabbit
Lara

Just one of the many
unseen by most of you
who sit before your mirrors
and paint your eyelids blue
blusher on your soft warm cheeks
And lipsticks that all glow
With little understanding
Of the tests that seems to grow

Yes we're kept in cages
In a cold laboratory
No burrows and no babies
Just the tests now regularly
toothpaste, and mascara
so all of you can be
Beautiful and smelling sweet
Little souls like me

Suffer, life gets tougher
Life is painful with each breath
Will today be our last day
Will Today mean Death
