My fate seems sealed(one baby seal's appeal to YOU)

I'm a baby
what possible problem, can I
cause all of you, why must I die?
On the iciest wastes here I am born
and I must say Today I'm morose and forlorn
God gave each one of us his precious life
So why Canada with all its might
massacre pups and that includes me
How in your world is this right.

Seals can live 35 years but so many
are slaughtered within one month of birth
We're bashed, and we're checked, and
we're bled, and we're shot, our agony whats it been worth
In 2007 each Pelt $60 but now $22 and so
They have to kill more of us- more have to die
Bludgeoned to death we can't grow
Our spark is extinguished by big brutish
yobs, who descend on the ice and they try
They bash us with sticks all getting their fix
and so many of us do die
Okay I'm a baby, but I'm sensitive too
The pain is as bad, as the pain is for you
And feelings run high when our blood starts to flow
When the ice all turns red and our guts start to show
Next to me 3 young babies smashed up and left
Their intestines hanging, One not bereft of life yet,it clings to a semblance, its pain
its cries, and its whimpers its mortal refrain
Blood curdling and freaches into our core
Those of us still in the midst of the gore
Its death throes I feel for tomorrow I know
They will come back for me and I've no where to go.

Help me, please help me, I don't want to die
I haven't done anything wrong, I ask why
Why are you humans so devilish to
Infants who really have done nothing to you
Nothing at all except yea possess a fur coat which you want, I have to stress

I have to, I just have to beg you, to see
On these icy wastes, we don't have to be
Left in great heaps of blood snot and gore
For that wasn't what we were given life for
