Sarah the Circus Elephant

Ringling say that it was accidental
53 years old boarding a train
Actually according to a witness
It didn't look like that
The poor souls pain
was evident, they struggled
with the earthling,
Up the ramp but she was far to weak
Then she just slumped forwards
She was motionless
Her spirit broken
She so mild and meek

Circus people some abuse
wild animals
Such strength she had
But clearly we know why
No animal should ever
work the circus
Sarah she's so old
and she could die
She's got an infection
poor old eli
USDA have told ringling
they are to
Sort out all the problems
that their elephants
now have
Performing really they
should never do

We must boycott the Circuses
we have to
its not a place
for children anymore
Elephants should never be allowed
to do handstands
It violates them
of that I am sure
Again its about money
so poor sarah
Lets hope she really
gets a better deal
She really is an old girl
and by now should get a rest
A request the circus
probably won't reveal.
