Costa Rica's Lost Arborial creatures

Costa Rica's power lines
See Primates every day
Electrocuted painfully
Why is this the way?
Escalating Real Estate brings
Hazards to the fore
If they were only shielded
But its something they ignore
The massive corporations
Say extraneous costs, are high
And if some wild souls suffer
Such costs are very high
Because they climb upon them
And die, so many do
It isn't worth the extra cost
Thats Power Companies for you

Between 95 and 2007 1/2 its monkey
numbers
Died a death, when they got a shock
and joined perpetual slumbers
Sloths, Arborial wildlife, Kinkajous and more
See these power lines standing
and climb them for they adore
How circuits form, and electricity is running everywhere
Burning fur,destroying flesh
and creating such a scare
Mothers and their babies are dying everyday
So we have to stop this carnage
We can do it,there's a way
Euthanizing animals though valuable
Is not the answer clearly, what is right
Is to bury the said cables or shield them if up high
And then our precious arborial friends will not be made to die
It is excruciating to be burned and maimed like this
What could be utter harmony and lives lived out in bliss
Its turning into mayhem and torture for our friends
The wild arborial earthlings and the message their death sends
