Ordinary(Litter Louts)

Yesterday in Ashridge
There were volunteers about
The National Trust had asked them
To prevent the Litter Lout
Making matters even worse
Than they appeared to be
Just look along the forest tracks
And what is it you see?

Amongst the Autumn colours
Alongside gorgeous trees
Coke Cans,cigarette packets
tin cans if you please
rubber tyres,glass bottles
clutter everywhere
along the paths
chucked out of cars
Its really so unfair!

Ashridge is naturally beautiful
Anytime of year
The seasons are the canvas
As the colours do appear
The silver birch the golden hues
Go and enjoy the view
Just watch them emptying ashtrays
Right in front of you

Their judgement non existent
God knows who they are?
But what chance will a young deer have
Who runs out in front, of their car?
Their blood quality, suspect
Acidic! let us say
And because of this
The environment means a little
less each today

Just a place to unload rubbish
To spoil the countryside
Where wild plants, already struggle
Where the fungi tribes may hide
Where the Holly and the Ivy
Await the coming snow
And the vandals with their secateurs
Who I guarantee will show

The litter louts, the vandals
Their the people on the street
They may drive nice cars
they may smoke cigars
They have nice shoes on their feet!
Their ordinary, but they possibly
Have acidic conditions too
And thats what makes them what they are
Thats my considered view
