Pheobe

Phoebe has a greek name
a goddess someone said
And now she lives in
Hertfordshire
In a town called
Berkhamsted
She looks after furry creatures
With whiskers and cute eyes
There's Molly she's a Hamster
She's incredibly wise!

Then there's Snoopy
He's a Guinea Pig
And of course there's Sooty too
He's sort of black with a furry back
whose favourite colours blue
Now, how, do I know this
Well when in Ecuador
I met the king of Guinea Pigs
and therefore I am sure
What he told me was the truth
Above all else, I heard
That many many years ago
That they flew like a bird
And then so loved by children
Decided they would be
Closer to their charges
Like Snoopy and Sooty

Pheobe has a greek name
a goddess so I hear
Freckles, she has freckles
and in sunlight they appear
And Hamsters do love children
with freckles for they know
That they are safe
and will be loved
whenever cold winds blow.

When Jack Frost comes a calling
When snow drops curl and fall
When the rain comes down in buckets
And the trees however tall
Bend under the force
Of all that wind and energy
Tis then the furry creatures
Value being with Phoebe
